A prolific songwriter, natural performer, and “hope enthusiast,” John Beacher has built his career with talent, a genuine spirit, and a kind heart. John’s music is a homecoming for the soul, timeless and sincere, tapping into a source that runs far deeper than the songwriter himself. Rooted in rhythm and blues, yet unbounded by genre, each song is a musical tapestry woven with soulful threads. Whether he’s singing songs of social justice, belting out blues or funk, or serenading you with a love ballad, there is no doubt that John is completely one with the musical process.
A seasoned musician, John is especially noted for his unique looping abilities on guitar and his diverse vocal skills, from ballads to rap to mimicking a trumpet so well vocally, that people are in disbelief that they’re not hearing a real trumpet. His ability to improvise both on guitar and with his voice makes each performance an entirely unique reflection of the audience and his surroundings.
John has shared stages with national acts such as Leon Russell, Cheryl Wheeler, Rusted Root, Marshall Tucker Band, and Dean Ween Group, to name a few.
John recently released his first fully produced solo album “Rise Up” and was invited to perform at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. His music is regularly featured on 88.5 WXPN out of Philadelphia PA, as well as many other independent radio stations across the country.
