Temporal Mechanics Union is pleased to host the first-ever Playing for Change Day at Cowley College.
A minimum $5 donation gets you all-day admission to this marathon concert, featuring a variety of local acts. If you just want to drop in on your favorite, we ask $1 for one act. But any amount is appreciated!
The line-up for Playing for Change Day at Cowley College starts with an open mike hour for Cowley students at 11 a.m. Soloists and small groups of singers, instrumentalists, writers, poets, stand-up comedians and improv artists from the student body will be welcome to take the stage.
The bands begin at noon with multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Tim Durham, followed at 1:15 by Reintarnation, a twang-infused trio playing a mix of classic rock, country, folk and blues. Piper Leigh and the Smokin’ Section will fill the house with their blend of rock and blues starting at 2:30, and Synaxis (DJ Ryan Mackey) will change the pace with his atmospheric “electronic music for the soul” at 3:45. The percussion ensemble Temporal Mechanics Union will present their repertoire of traditional drumming and experimental music, starting with a performance of "In C" at 5PM. 5 Man Trio headlines the concert at 8 PM with their original, eclectic acoustic music.

As a direct result of your leadership, children in communities around the world will continue to be able to learn music in ways they couldn't have without your support. What's more, thanks to your support, the children in our schools will continue to build connections and relationships across cultural and political boundaries, learning and sharing with one another and with the Playing For Change community worldwide.
