1Love Playing For Change Day L.A. is going to be an unforgettable night of music bringing together sensational talent from around the world!

Three-time Grammy Award-winning blues guitarist KEB’MO’ will headline the show, joined by the world-renowned PLAYING FOR CHANGE BAND; JOHN DENSMORE of The Doors; Ghanaian Afro-Roots sensation ROCKY DAWUNI ; West African Afro-Soul artist ALIDU; "Piano Teacher to the Stars" MARGIE BALTER & FRIENDS and STUDENTS; PAPAFISH, winner of the Marley’s Mellow Mood “Marley Music Uprising” band search competition, and other special guests.

The Playing for Change Band unites musicians from different countries (now 11 members from 9 countries including the Congo, South Africa, Italy, Israel, Zimbabwe, Cuba, USA…) who have collaborated on Songs Around The World. The PFC Band has performed over 150 concerts, including a recent tour in Brazil headlining for an audience of 35,000, and a tour in Australia as the opening act for Robert Plant. The group is led by Grandpa Elliott, who has been performing on the streets of New Orleans for over 60 years. This amazing blind performer is now traveling the world taking the message from the streets to the stage to the hearts of the people everywhere.

1Love Playing For Change Day L.A. will reunite Keb’Mo’, Rocky Dawuni, Alidu and members of the Playing For Change Band, all of whom have appeared in Playing For Change “ Songs Around the World” - incredible video productions syncing voices and music from street musicians around the world. These videos have garnered a global audience of over 250 million through YouTube, CD's and live performances.

For Densmore, drummer of the iconic American rock band The Doors, the evening marks a return to the venue that he and his former group helped to make famous as the original house band. The original sound of PapaFish combines influences in reggae, ska, and rock, and being one of the only female lead bands in the California Reggae-Rock scene, PapaFish brings an undeniable stage presence and a crazy amount of fun to each show. With such a diverse mix of artists playing together for a good cause, the show promises to be an uplifting and unforgettable concert experience.

Proceeds will benefit Playing For Change music programs worldwide.
